The Role of Ecotourism in Enhancing the Efficiency of Natural Recreational Resource Utilization

Abstract

This paper analyzes the role of ecotourism in improving the efficiency of natural recreational resource utilization within a sustainable development framework. Growing tourism demand increases economic benefits but also intensifies environmental pressure. Using a conceptual approach, the study examines how ecotourism instruments—such as visitor management, environmental standards, and community involvement—enhance resource governance and eco efficiency. A conceptual model is proposed linking ecotourism mechanisms to balanced economic and environmental outcomes. The findings highlight ecotourism as a strategic tool for achieving sustainable and efficient resource use.
