Abstract

Translation is not merely a linguistic act; it is an intricate cultural process that involves the transfer of meaning, context, and values from one language to another. This is particularly true when translating literary texts, which are deeply rooted in the cultural, historical, and emotional fabric of the source language. In the case of translating Uzbek literary works into English, translators are faced with the complex task of conveying not only the semantic content of the original but also its cultural essence, emotional tone, and literary aesthetics.
