SEMANTIC INTERPRETATION OF SELECTED GERMAN-ORIGIN POLITICAL TERMS IN UZBEK EXPLANATORY DICTIONARIES: A COMPARATIVE LEXICOGRAPHIC ANALYSIS

Abstract

This thesis examines the semantic interpretation of selected political terms of German origin in Uzbek explanatory dictionaries through a comparative linguistic approach. The study focuses on the terms party (Ger. Partei), rent (Ger. Rente), sovereignty (Ger. Souveränität), and jurist (Ger. Jurist), analyzing and comparing their definitions across German, Russian, and Uzbek explanatory dictionaries. The findings reveal the patterns of semantic adaptation of these terms in the Uzbek language, as well as their role within the national terminological system.
