THEORETICAL BASIS OF DISCOURSE AND CINEMA DISCOURSE NOTIONS

Abstract

This thesis deals with one of the most essential notions of modern linguistics. Discourse has always been under numerous discussions as there were a number of various definitions of it. Discourse as a speech segment and a passage can have different functions. Discourse can be influenced by a number of factors semantically and considering these facts to focus on the theme from the different angle is important at present time. The thesis focuses on some features of cinema discourse accordingly.
